im going to be lifting my Denali in the next few weeks. I've never boughten aftermarket rims are tires. I'm looking to do 20"rims with 33's or 35's. Does anyone have any suggestions on width, and backspacing and other things I need to be aware of?

0 or -24 offset, 4.5" or less backspace depending on how much you want them to tick out
What is the difference between the 2 offsets and how far will 4.5" backspacing stick out? And how wide of rim can I run? I plan to run a tire slightly smaller than required for the width so that the side wall stretches a little and I won't have a bulge on the sidewall
I'm going to do the BDS 4.5 or 6.5, I haven't decided on that b/c im not sure what I want to do with the factory air-ride. And possibly a 3" body. I might do the body lift first and run on 33's or 35's if they'll fit. I think I want 20x10 rims. I'm not sure if I want them sticking out much, or at all.
If you go 6" lift then 35" will be fine. Should be good with the 4.5" backspace, if you're lifting that high why would you want pizza cutter tires stretched to the rims? And if you run a 10-12" wheel it's going to stick out more than a 8-9".
You can run 33" with either keys, or a body lift. Body lift and keys you should be able to do 35".

I don't like the look of a hump on the side of a wheel. I previously ran a Wrangler mtr 37x12tirwe on a 16.5x10 rim and was happy with the look. I figured with the right offset and or backspacing, I can keep a 20x10 from sticking out to far.

The bubble on the sidewalls you are speaking of also depends on the tires, they wont look bubbled bad if you are running tires that have sidewall lugs, im running factory escalade 17s with 35- 12.50 mud grapps on them and they are bubbles dont get me wrong, but dont look bad vubbled because of the side lugs thats just my input, 3" body with keys and spacers will clear 35s, but when you go with more offset, the more it will rub!
