Okay, so first off, let me start off by showing you my first Tahoe I ever owned.

Long story short, I bought it extremely cheap, then turned around and sold it for a hefty profit, and used the money to fund my addiction to tuner cars. But the fever hit, and I missed the truck, so a few months ago I went out and bought this OBS 99 Tahoe.

As you can probably tell, I'm a big nut on the murdered out look, but I've never been a fan of ALL black. I like a solid color body, whether it be green, red, blue, white, etc, and all the accessories such as windows, lights, grills, etc black. So I was quick to tint my taillights, markers, and headlights just to give the Tahoe a bit of personality. After purchasing, I began to make plans for this ride. What I want is a truck that sticks out, but still has that "I could drive this comfortably everyday" look. The first real mod I did was to change out the dash lights for some green LED's.

First thing's first, gotta take out the cluster.

Look at all those LED's...gotta love eBay.

The backside of the cluster.

IMG_20130520_140819_940.jpg

Look for the inserts that are labeled ILL for illumintation.

IMG_20130520_140811_840.jpg

Out with the old, boring lights.

IMG_20130520_141127_093.jpg

In with the new, exciting LED's.

IMG_20130520_141150_086.jpg

Finished Product...:okay2:

IMG_20130521_203721_633.jpg

When I ordered the above LED's, I knew nothing about hotspots and the degrees at which the light is projected...i just bought the cheapest LED's. I guess now, with all these hotspots, I learned real quick. I will be using superbrightled.com soon to order some LED bulbs that actually work like they should, and I will be using these eBay LED"s for my marker lights and license plate lights.

I got more to come today, so please check back!

So today I went and looked at some tires, and decided to go ahead and buy some. They should be completely paid for and on the truck in about a month. They are Adventuro GT Radio M/T 305/70r16 which is a 33" tall tire. I apologize for the pics not being that great in quality, i didn't take them...they were sent to me.

So, with these tires in mind, I decided to play around, and go ahead and get the front end up a little bit. This is a picture of the front end sitting like it has been since I bought it. It is at roughly 34 1/4" off level ground.

After I got the adjusting bolt where I wanted it, i put the truck back down, and drove it around a bit to let it settle. It raised the front end up about 3" putting it at 37 1/4" high. I am extremely satisfied.

Overall, I was happy that such results could come from a simple task. But had I known that this "simple task" was going to be so labor intesive, I would've spent the money on an impact wrench before hand, instead of relying on PB blaster and a socket wrench to do the job.

Just to update, I ordered some lighting today.

These are the headlights I ordered, and the bulbs. The housings are all black, except the reflector part.

I ordered two sets of HID's. The 9006 (low beam) is actually a green color, and the 9005 (high beam) is a 6000k color.

The front turn signals and parking lights are these cool looking green LED's.

I ordered a couple of sets of these wide angle red LED's to go in the rear taillight and parking light.

And these little babies are going in the reverse light.

Last but not least, I ordered these to replace the lights behind the guage cluster.

Here ya go buddy...hope this helps. I had a 15000k bulb in the low beams in these, which personally i think was way to bright.
