So it was just from the bearing noise then? Not bad. I've had 2 LS pumps leak. One tricked me into thinking it was the gaskets.

I replaced the squeaky belt on my wife's 3.6 Mopar Town and Country last week. A few months ago I replaced the thermostat. I didn't remember that coolant spilling on the belt causes it squeak. Doh!

I wasn't sure if it was an idler or pulley. I bought a HF stethoscope and couldn't find any noise on any accessory, idler or tensioner. So I replaced the belt and problem went away.

I absolutely HATE transversely mounted engines. You have to jack the vehicle and remove 2 plastic shields just to access the belt tensioner. Probably the last time I'll own one of those. Give me a LS GMT 800/900 and I'm a happy man. :)
