Wiring Dash Cam for Power with Key?

Has anyone found a good easily accessible power source to tap into that is controlled by the ignition? Every fuse I’ve tried is hot constantly. I wish the cigarette lighters were switched and not hot all the time.

Take the knee bulster down. This gets you access to the back of the fuse/relay box. I wired my GPS there.

Should be able to find something in the Mid Bussed Electrical Center. Go to https://www.gmupfitter.com/ and get your vehicle info. The MBEC is just above where the driver's left foot sits, on the firewall under the dash.

I tapped mine in to the radio fuse.

Been over a year, so cant recall, sorry. Just used my DVOM to find a switched IGN.

I ran mine into my head unit. So i would use the radio power or HVAC power.
