Will it work transmission

My friend just had his transmission in his 04 z71 go out. Is there any difference in a 01 denali to an 04 transmission?

We need to know what motor is in it at very least. These trucks to my knowledge run 4L60E's, so in theory yes, but to be sure, we need to know what motor is in it and what the tranny that went out was and all that jazz.

The tranny that went out is behind a 5.3 and the other is behind a 6.0

It will work I believe the fly will might be different tho. It should be a direct swap tho.
