Recently i have installed some Rockford Fosgate 6.5" T1652 in my front door's. When i have my system bumping the right door speaker pop's. I turned the sound all the way to the front and cranked it up and it sounds fine. Turned it all the way to the back and sounds fine. The only time it pop's is when the sound level is equaly distributed between front and back. The only thing that i could think of is maybe the RF 6.5's are a differant impedance and is interfering with something in the stock amp?

very nice choice in speakers! ;)

whats your whole setup looking like?
wiring, amps, speakers from front to back?

check the connections on the speakers themselves

as for it popping you could be clipping them some how..
when you have it faded to the back not as much power is being sent to the front speakers hence why it doesn't pop

Whole set up is clarion head unit (dont remember modle number) door speakers is what i said still have the stock amp hooked up for the doors, sub amp is power acoustik 1920 watt have 1/0 ran for all the amp wiring and engine wiring. Subs are 2 "12 Rockford fosgate P3's in a dual ported box.
As for having the sound faded to the back I know thats why it doesnt pop then, but i can fade it all the way to the front and crank it up and it sounds fine. The only time it pops is when all four door speakers are playing.

are u running them in the full range or just mids and highs or just highs? i had an old clarion deck in my eclipse and my speakers popped on occasion when i was running any sort of bass to them.. i later switched to a pioneer deh-6400 deck and i just ran high and mid frequencies to my doors \ rear deck and all was good from then on out... im not sure what custom eq settings u can get out of that deck but its worth a shot

always use the crossovers that came with the speakers and use the crossover settings in your HU I have mine set to 120hz but thats per Alpine at the very least set it to 80hz but NEVER send any type of sub bass frequencies to your mids otherwise at louder levels they will pop like you are describing.

mids are not meant to play much below 60hz

There is definantly no sub bass frequencies going to them. I think its wierd just the right one does it. Maybe tomarrow if i get board i might try by-passing the factory amp.

hmmm where is the stock amp located.. i havent swapped my stuff over into mine yet... one thing u might wanna try is see if its an actual speaker issue \ defect by swapping sides with the speakers since u said only one side pops. if that one side still pops then u know u might have an amp issue or wiring issue.... and it would be easier to do than bypassing the amp.... it would just be the first route i would take if i was in ur shoes....:hmm:

i asked a friend about what he thought on the subject and he and i agreed on this,,, most factory amps that we have seen in the past were like 50 - 75 watts... and those were for the old one.. im thinkin factory amps now days are like 100 - 200 watts.. now keep in mind its just a guess... i dont know much bout bose but i know factory speakers dont hold much power... so i would feel comfortable in saying the amp is anywhere from maybe 150 - 200 watts with it being a 4 channel amp... keep in mind its just a guess but i think it sounds pretty damn good for a guess

im almost all out of ideas man besides the one u said bout tryin the stock unit..... only other thing i can even try and consider is replacing the wire to that speaker... lets retrace, u swapped speakers, u played with the balance and fade, no bass signal to speakers, dont know the outcome of u swappin stock hu, and i dont know what u mean by pac oem-1 stuff.... only thing i can come up with is wire... i always upgraded my wire when i upgraded speakers.. and also if u go with the fosgate amp that gives u more room for system expansion. lemme know how it goes

Just measure AC voltage at each speaker (unhooked). If they are remarkably different then the amp is probably on its way out.

wires shouldnt be an issue.. 99.9% of shops will never even offer wire upgrade as an option because on some vehicles (ours for sure) its a nightmare to get the wires back through the stock loom.

unless the wire is nicked? and the clipping is coming from it grounding out?

i have seen speakers mounted super tweaked, where the speaker wasnt mounted flush.. and the speaker clipping because at the top of its throw it would bind.. because of the sub moving up and down the coax pole..

Its possible it could be an ohm load issue and by fading it full front or full rear something in the bose amp is being tricked into throwing a different ohm load... so when its letting itself naturally divide by four its pulling lets say 4ohm.. when it wants 8.. so youre getting a restrictive ohm load trip and its only happening on one channel.. could be something as simple as that channel is further along down the chain.. and when it clips that ones first it comes up to 6 and will settle there......

Chances are your aftermarket headunit pushes more power than the bose amp anyway... so just bypass it and chances are your issues will all go away
