Just recently i noticed a sound as i am accelerating my truck , it sounds like a kid ridind a bike with a card or stick stuck in the spokes. My rear driveshaft u joints are brand new, could this possibly be my front 4wd shaft joints?

CONGRATS:happy160:... your engine is now broken in:rocking:

piston slap... its kind of normal, you should think about changing your oil to a thicker synthetic. it solved my issue.

thats my 2 cents. just start her up and :drink_nl: take a 5 min break before driving off.

most of the time but i use 10w30 in the winter and 10w40 in summer with out 10w30 in the winter my piston slap was so bad. then i switched to synthetic 10w30 and no more issue.

might be a little harder for a stock starter to turn it over in -30 but i have the mean green super high torque starter

I dont even know what the exhaust manifold looks like :( But it doesnt sound like its coming from the enigine. It almost sounds like a exhaust leak. Like a put put put. But it goes away when warming up? Maybe a seal is heating up as i drive and re sealing?

Fire up your truck cold, get underneath it, and run your hands closely around the exhaust pipes. Don't touch them, they're hot. Where the exhaust pipe splits to go to all the cylinders, is the exhaust manifold. This is an easy check to do that doesn't require swapping fluids. Swapping fluids is your next bet.

If it's a ticking sound, more than likley it is your doughnut gaskets. These are the exhaust manifold gaskets they are talking about. Mine does the same thing, just haven't got around to replacing them.
