Why does my wireless carplay signal suck?

From what I understand, GM uses a proprietary wireless signal to power Carplay but it seems to cut out a bunch. Anyone else have this issue?

I can’t get my wireless CarPlay to work on any phones. I have spent hours with onstar/gm tech on the troubleshooting remotely then took it in and still doesn’t work. As soon as I unplug it CarPlay doesn’t work no matter what. Also there has got to be a tie to the CarPlay with the wireless hotspot because that isn’t work either. You say it’s sucks I agree however i haven’t had a chance to say it sucks ir not because neither wireless cp or wireless hotpot connect. Basically the wireless hotspot shows it’s working but phones connected say there no internet even though I have the unlimited plan. Something hardware must be the issue and there has got to be a connection btw wireless cp and the hotspot

Rare occasions (probably twice). Usually when 2 or more phones are connected to the head-unit.

Yah, the system really hates it when my android and my wifes iphone are both connected. I constantly get "wifi interference issues" notifications for apple car play.

I had an iPhone 10. Worked fine with wired CarPlay, constant skipping with wireless. Got an new iPhone. Same thing. Its the car. I'm sticking to the cable for now. Im sure there will be an update at some point.

Hi all - I've been following the thread hoping for a solution for a wireless carplay solution for my wife's 2021 Yukon. I have the carlinkit2.0 that I've been using in my F-150 which works flawlessly, but thought today I would update the carlinkit2.0 and try again in the Odyssey. There's were 4 updates and now currently running on version 2021.08.30.1821 and I'm happy to report it works perfect. I turned the van on/off several times and it worked exactly like it does in my F-150 with a connection time of about 25-30 seconds. So is there anyone here with Apple CarPlay using the device from carlinkit3.0 in the link below to add wireless CarPlay in a 2021 Yukon or any other GMC or any other car with Apple CarPlay functionalities ?
Reading the reviews and comments, satisfaction rates is as high at it could be and they seem to be very successful into adding this solution in almost any car with embedded CarPlay technology and a few aftermarket radios such as Pioneer or Alpine (Over 400 reviews and comments and all positive !)
I have ordered one and will keep you posted... If anyone has one, I'll appreciate your input
