Don't take this offensively, but if you have to ask this, you haven't done any research. Hands down the most complete kit and customer support is through magnacharger. Get yourself a TVS1900 and call it a day. You'll thank me later!

+1 on the maggy tvs1900 kit they're ridiculously complete systems and extremely reliable.

Hello guys, I'm a newbie. Selling our BMW X5 and just bought a 2009 Tahoe LTZ. Thinking about a blower as it doesn't get out of it's own way right now. I read the previous response about different blowers. How do the opinions vary on the newer trucks?
Thanks for any input.

Did you X5 have the TT4.4? If you're coming from a TT4.4 the Tahoe will feel slow unless you pump a bunch of money into it.

You can have Blackbear tune it and adjust the shifts points. It could be that the shift points are conservative, making it feel slower than it is. Our Escalade has that problem, it feels like a tank until it downshifts into the powerband.

4.4 yes, TT No. I had a deal in the works on an X5M but my wife said she had a knot in her stomach since the day we testdrove it because of how much it cost. She said she couldn't stomach putting dogs in the back and stuff from Lowes. So we got the Tahoe instead. Handling sucks of course but it's for her not for me.
I agree with the shift points. It never knows where to be. You have to give it a lot of throttle so it will kick down and go. Will check into it. Thinking about a Vortech Supercharger.
Thanks for the reply

My 07 mallett escalade came supercharged with water to air intercooler I've only had this for two months and don't know much about it. It's very stock looking and seems to give no problems.
The charger says rotrex on it.
My MPG say 14
This kit is supposedly adding 150 HP so they call it the mallett 550

Any of you guys doing towing with the blower? Usually when I head to the track I'm towing the car and I'm wondering how it will do. I've been told its easier to stay out of boost with a turbo then a blower and you don't want to be in boost all the time because its ******* parts.

I'm looking into putting a Tvs2300 and a Iron 427 in the burb next summer.

The new eaton head units in the magnacharger kits are extremely efficient at highway speeds and don't have much parasitic loss.

most of you guys running blowers just have pretty much basic bolt on mods right? intake, headers, exhausts, chips, ect.... Ive been in the air about throwing a blower on my LQ9 but am still reading and research. The truck has been stock for the last 2 years while ive been building my subaru and with those things any bigger turbo's require built motors. Ive noticed with the v8's unless you shoot for crazy power levels these stock motors hold up

I think there is a kid with a single turbo and 4L80 swap on here, should be around 550-600whp with a good tune on an LQ4.
