Who makes the best reman diff's?

Front diff is chewy, reaching the point where I can't really nurse it any more. Want to get it done before this winter. Right now I'm trying to evaluate the cost of a reman unit I plop in, having a local shop do it, or attempting the work myself.

I'm missing the first piece though. I know there are a lot of garbage reman companies and I know there are a lot of good ones. Problem is, I just don't have enough buyers experience here to know who is who.

I'm looking for some top picks on front differentials. 8.25", selectable 4wd, 3.42 gearing
