which tires give softer ride?

i'm looking to get some 305/40/22's and want a set of summer tires that will give me the softest ride...if there is such a thing. haha

which is the best brand of tire for that?
Nitto?
Vredestein Ultrac SUV Sessanta?

I got the Nitto 420's. Not sure how "soft" they are, but with the drop I have it seems to drive well.
