Wheel offset

Hey guys, been trying to decide on some new wheels. Not a fan of the rockstars that came on the truck and they are a 17x8 and sit just inside my Z71 Flares

Been looking at 17x9 with -12 offset. How far will that push out the tires? Would be sticking with 285/70/17 I think. Would this push me out a little past the flares? Anybody running similar?

Are there any 17" wheels with more offset than this? Turning up empty on the search. I love the straight black classic 8 hole and 5 spoke wheels. I think a 17x10 with some offset would be sick. But no luck. Seems like everybody is making 18" and 20" wheels now.

Most 17s aren't wide anymore with the movement towards 18-20, really only thing available above 12" wide is 20-26
