And how do we maintain the tow/haul mode?
Looking to upgrade the shifter to a newer model. Thank you

Please don’t ever show a pic of a wiring splice like that ever again! I can’t take it! Aaargh!View attachment 270009 View attachment 270010 View attachment 270012 View attachment 270011
Installed this in my 03. Plug n play. The tap feature doesn't work, and I just needed to splice the existing wires to get the tow/haul to work. I still consider it plug n play. Nice little upgrade.
True enough. Please don’t ever show a pic of a wiring splice like that ever again! I can’t take it! Aaargh!![]()
I mean, at least cut those terminals off, strip the wires and go from there.True enough.

Did any of you have to cut and bend the shaft? I didn't originally and it pointed downward in drive. Ended up doing like the example linked below and it looks better. I used the NNBS leather wrapped with stitch facing away: 25807853
Example: https://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/how-to-nnbs-shift-lever-in-nbs-trucks.318301/
I'll take pics when I have it back together.
Nevermind, it's in the big general thread.Several of us have in the forum, I did a small write up on the NBS section. There is no need to cut into the shifter like they did on the gmfullsize write up.
