My 2007 Tahoe LTZ is in a local Charlotte NASCAR engine builder's shop getting engine rebuild/mods, she gets dyno'd this week. She's not had lift modified so I actually have 2 questions -
1) I'm at original lift height with P275/55R20's so what's max wheel tire combo I can safely run?
2) I'm considering a 2"/2" drop and would any of you know what max size wheel combo I could safely run?
Thank you for your time, gentlemen.

With a stock height, you should be able to get 305/50x20 tires to fit, if you are looking for wider and not taller.

I cannot help you on the drop scenario.

You've put this in the wrong model-year forum. Post this up under the correct year, and you'll get lots of answers.

If I was in a Charlotte NC Nascar shop I would be asking those guys! LOL
Sounds like your truck is in good hands!

I have 17" wheels and hate my existing 265/70R17 tires so I want to swap before winter. I was thinking 275/70R17s but the front fenderwell clearance already looks close... Thoughts? (2011 LT Tahoe)

Or will 285/70r17s fit a 2011 LT on stock suspension?

Another question, looking at BFG Trail-terrains, but they only come in standard load, too light duty for a Tahoe?
