Getting my front windows tinted next week and just wondering what every is running on their windows. Oregon is 35% on the front so most likely I'll stay with that but wondering if I should add more to the backs.

In Texas the front legal is 25%... I had a 35% on top of the factory stock front (70%) and it came out to 26% on the state inspection meter (aka 1% over legal).

Just put a 50% on top of the front and you'll be legal, then I did the backs with 20% (on top of the rear stock 35%) and mathematically have a 7%.

That looks nice man, how wide is your top strip? I think our legal limit is 5 or 6 inches from the top.

U lucky bastard!

Lucky that I have a medical condition that warrants the tint? That's like saying you're lucky you lost your leg so you get a handicap spot closer to the door...

I've never been pulled over. However, if I do, I have a medical exemption for the tint.

In PA medical film is reflective but transparent... Dyed films are not excused for medical.

if you do 20% up front, it will match the rear.

I have 20% all around on my Escalade (bought it that way), while it does look good it makes backing up at night a real pain. Most of the time I have to open the front windows to get a good view of what's going on around my vehicle. I may strip the front windows and go for a lighter shade.

I had 37% on my STS and that was about as dark as I'd want to go again. The law is 35% in my previous state of MD and the tint guy suggested the 37% as he explained that some tints darken a little bit over time and it would save possible future hassles if it were tested with a light meter.

I need to do a few more vehicles and I'll likely do the 35%-37% all the way around on those.
