So it is apparent I am going to be having my cluster rebuilt. Anyone know of a good place to have this done? I may be going ahead and having the esky bezel put on as well and probably LEDs. I found a website online that would do it for about $300 but I want to make sure to get it done right by someone trustworthy.

Sent mine out to this guy because I had a few lights go out behind the cluster. I had him replace all the lights, new stepper motors and did an Esky trim bezel. Fairly quick turnaround as well.

J-what did you pay for the paintwork?
$100 cash money.......seemed pretty fair to me
yeah.....I bought most of the material to do it myself....I'd like to feel like I actually did something to my truck on my own lol
but I'm scared as shit to get runs lol
Do the proper prep work and take your time when spraying. I did mine myself and I think they turned out great.
The wife let me drive it to work yesterday lol. I swapped out a bad turn signal bulb, added a toggle switch fir the rear fog lights, and made a z71 logo to go above it

First of all, and most importantly imo, gotta get the surface nice and clean to prevent any imperfections and remove any dirt and oils. My first one I didn't clean well and got wrinkling. I also did mine with adhesion promoter, duplicolor body color and clear coat. I washed my vents with simple green then wiped them down with denatured alcohol. Then lightly sanded with fine grit(600-800) sand paper and washed again. Applied a couple light coats of promoter and did 3 or 4 LIGHT coats of body color and then 2 or 3 coats of clear. Make sure to let proper dry time between steps. You can also wet sand in between coats but I didn't have days. This is just the way I did it and only a suggestion. If you ask 5 people how to, you'd probably get 5 different processes.
omg...sounds very time consuming...maybe I'll pay to have them professionally shot
