i took the badges off but kept the moldings. (panels) it looks clean if you have chrome rims.

Today I replaced a battery after the Kon and I ran out of gas right infront of the pump because the battery died as i was trying to turn into the gas station. Spent 2 hrs in East TX heat trying to get the dag on thing started and then jumped. Finally called the dealer where i got it from for them to tow it and fix her. They put in a new battery. I go to get the alignment done @ Many Moe and Jack's (Pep Boys) and when they were done had them test the charging system just to tell me what i thought this afternoon, I have a bad alternator! So now I have to take the Kon back to the dealer again in the morning to get them to replace the Alt so i dont chew through another battery!

I finally replaced the motor and regulator for my rear driver's window. Has been stuck a couple of inches down for the past 3 weeks. I don't even know if it was the motor or the regulator that was bad, but I figured if I'm going to tear the door apart, I might as well replace both. Also took off the "window rain guard" thingys. They were on there when I bought it the Yukon, and just never messed with it until today... looks a lot better without them!

With the new motor/regulator half installed:

The old motor/regulator:

And yes... that IS a ratchet that I have wedged into the door... I was using it to hold the window up, lol. :wtf:

Removed the molding on the driver side. Lot easier than the rear emblems to remove and clean up. Not sure why, but it was. Passenger side tomorrow.

What all is involved with removing the molding? It's not bolted or screwed in, right? How do you clean it up afterwards/what kind of mess is left behind? Thanks!
