True. But with Lincoln's head sideways, the distance to his nose is quite a bit more than the distance to the top of his head when he's upside down. Distance to the nose looks like it is at least twice the distance to the top of his head. So not even close to his nose... Means I got plenty of tread for at least the next year.
I was gonna say he’s got tread up to his nose!

I managed to fit an entire couch and loveseat into The Beast minus the steel frame. These were recliners so it was easy to break them down into pieces. Taking them to the recyclers tomorrow.

While mine is getting the body work done I ordered some little things for it. The rear cargo door didn't have the pull down strap and the center console didn't have the black rubber mat so I went ahead and found OE replacement ones from Ebay and ordered those. I'm doing my best to keep this vehicle as long as I can. Also I'm going to have the interior fully detailed and then install the weather tech floor liners and cargo liner to protect the carpet.

If missing the console insert, might have wanted to consider that wireless charging mat that people have ordered. They seem to be really nice. The look like OE, but fast charge your phones wirelessly. Plug and play into console. No wire splicing.

While that would be a good purchase I use my phone connected to my receiver for music streaming. I have the Stinger Heigh10 receiver so it can charge 2 phones at once and use the primary connection for android auto.

Got a call from the body shop. There was a bit more rust underneath than they anticipated (typical for central Illinois), but they are going to make new patch panels and they even were nice enough to not charge another cent. A few extra days in the shop and it'll be good as new. That is the kind of service that creates repeat customers.

Plasti-Dipped my grille and removed the bull bar from the front yesterday.
Much cleaner, I think! The grille was painted a dark gray metallic. I coated with black Plasti-Dip.

Update... I changed my mind and swapped for a stock grille and lights.
See this post.

@MassHoe04 - where the fog lights are. Isn’t that more of a grayish color? I took mine off, and painted with Kylon Fusion. Made it black, then I added the lower air deflector which was black.

I have to get new headlights and I think I might convert to stock grille, so I can get some new lights from DEPO, TYC or a Facebook Marketplace find for cheap.

Mark.. I'm very disappointed. The Beast.. She's..

FILTHY!
Yessir. We just had the wettest April on record. There were a total of THREE DAYS that it didn’t rain, at least a little bit. And I needed a stretch of four days to tear my chimney off the back wall of my house, remove the wood stove insert, frame a door in, install that door, patch the roof in temporarily, and sheathe the walls on both stories of the house. I got that done but wash the trucks….that didn’t happen. And it’s rained every day so far in May except one, and I installed my siding on that day. Sigh.

A dirt road? That must drive you nuts! :birgits_tiredcoffeeI can let mine go for awhile especially if I’m busy. I even forced myself to drive The Machine to the grocery store today even though there was a little bit of rain and it hasn’t been washed either. It still needs to be driven just to keep everything working. Hopefully spring is right around the corner for me. I was sick of the rain about 4-5 weeks ago. It’s been cold too, it only hit 55 today. And yes it rained half the day.
