Ok guys, I know those knobs are hard to find.. but I’m not finding anything showing those knobs at all. Even the factory replacement stuff are showing the same knob style I have, when looking for Esky knobs / hvac controls. The knobs in your pictures look to be exactly the same as the headlight knob. Is it the same one..? What model / year had the larger, smooth knobs..?
These only came out on the 2002 Escalade only, no other year

Installed the OEM struts I ordered for the liftgate and glass. That was a bit of a challenge by myself. I'm too wimpy to compress the new ones by hand, so sort of had to hyperextend it with both of them removed to put the new ones on. Glad that's done for another 16 years (2004 model.)

AFAIK you could never buy just the knobs. I bought the entire control heads from used Escalades on eBay.

Gotcha. Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the info. Very helpful.

So I guess I could be wrong.
This post says 03-06 escalade

I don't think this is accurate, the post has the wrong year on this. 03 has a completely different style control unit.

It’s too bad they’re grey, like @Fless was saying. If they aren’t black, I think I’ll pass.

ETA: well, all I had to do was search for “climate control”, rather than “hvac”... now I’m finding plenty of them.. annnnnd... I went ahead and bought this one:

On the drop spindles that are being sold, do they all require the use of 17" wheels or bigger. So since I'm on 16" I can't use the drop spindles

AFAIK yes, the lower control arm stays in the same spot and they move the hub up as high as they can in the knuckle. With 17s it looks like you have to cut the end of the lower ball joint stud off or else it would hit the wheel… and then sounds like they want you to hammer over the threads to secure the nut….which sounds a little sketchy, so even though I’m on 17s, I’d think about 18s or larger if I was going to get drop spindles

I mowed the lawn then washed The Beast and cleaned the leather and interior trim after hauling a couple tons of old bricks and telephone poles to recycling. I still need to vacuum it and then the Ceracote trim coat came so I need to do
