They sell bonding adhesive that could hold a panel underneath then some filler to cover but that is still failure prone. Tacking a small piece of metal in the hole would be about the same work and last a lot longer. Im sorry if Im coming off as a bodywork snob. Just trying to help.

Agreed that tack welding backing plates and then using a high quality filler is the only way to keep those holes to not show over time. And unfortunately a wrap doesn’t matter, if the underlying structure cracks or has the slightest imperfection it will show right through and it needs to be painted as well before it’s wrapped otherwise the wrap will separate at the filler. You need good bodywork and paint before you can wrap if you want it to look good for a long time.

Yes if you replace the shifter handle. Not just the chrome piece though.

Maybe you can see if you can disassemble it, then you could strip the chrome and paint it black.

Finally swapped in the leather grab bar from @Tonyrodz. A nice little upgrade and addition of a little contrast. Kinda the esky shifter for the passenger... lol
