You could buy 4 NBS tahoes, silverados, and yukons and have them all souped up instead!

Or a TBSS for a daily Silverado SS for fun plenty of money to mod them then put away the rest

Looks like it’s gonna be goodbye to the old girl. Damage is up to 6k, so we’re past the threshold for damage.

Payout is gonna be 8.5k, which is fair. I can keep her for 2 of that, and risk fixing it, but damage may end up exceeding the remainder after that, and she still needs tranny replacement in next 10k, and power steering pump, powerboost replacement. Not including rear main seal leak, and other various little things.

I hate to let her go, but maybe it’s time. I know I’ll regret it because the nnbs seats are nowhere near as good. But found one with built in trailer brake controls (needed) and 70k miles for decent price.

Gladly still taking any opinions. Bear in mind though, this truck is going to be a pull vehicle for 26’ camping trailer as I travel nationwide as a nurse. And from what I continue to read, a tune and some simple mods on the 5.3 should still give me all I need.

A shame to send her down river for 2000. Someone here could buy it out from under you and fix her up.

I recently bought my old l7 12. I ordered a skar rp800.1 to power it. The sub is 4 0hm wired in series to 2 0hm bridged. Got everything wired up. Mounted the amp under the second row passenger seat so I can still lay the big seat down to haul stuff. The speaker wire isn't hide very well l so the sub can be removed easily. I ran the power wire under the fuse block cover to a stud under the hood. The factory radio really limits me as to what the sub and amp can do. But it works for now

I finally got a pair of Esky vent covers ( used / painted black) and put them on today..... But in fairly good condition. ( I installed them to check for 'issues' before I paint them my Carbon Metallic).....

I discovered they are a "2-piece" construction, glued. The top was coming apart a 'bit' so I glued it & a couple rivets , so when I remove them, it won't detach more, since you gotta pull them out FIRMLY.

I ALSO noticed, the top curve isn't exactly the same as my door curve. But with my aftermarket tail lights , it looks good!!

Anyone that gets those are bound to be disappointed.

They are white-amber-white-amber. Unlike others where the white shuts off.

Also they look like the bulb has a universal style base and the only thing bulb specific is the plug. So good luck sealing the lights.

I have the JDMaster switchbacks, wired some resistors and love them
Just saw them and figured I'd post them up, in case anyone would be interested.

My first set of switchbacks were amber/white/amber/white. It got peoples attention more that way imo. But now I have the jdm astars and I prefer the way they flash with white off.

But the ones Tony posted look bright as hell.

Have my L7 12 at 2ohm and joined with a 1200 watt kicker amp. L7 came in the same box and it hit ok, but once I built a bigger box for it that's when she slammed nicely.
Do you have a in-line fuse for the power wire?

Here's a close view of the vent cover, different curve at the top, verses the original cover.... dosen't match the curve of my Yukon's curve...... but, unless you didn't know, you don't really notice. No one has ever mentioned the difference of shape, or if one year was different than another.
