Lucky the airbag didn’t deploy. I’m guessing that’s deer poop on the door. Just glad nobody was hurt
My buddy in KY hit a deer Friday night in his brand new Camry going 70 MPH. Killed the deer and the car.
Yeah, damn thing shit all over the car as he rolled down the side. Like the damage wasn’t bad enough.

I’m also glad the airbag didn’t deploy, but honestly, I hardly felt him. It was a noise, and a bump, but these Tahoe’s weigh so damn much that my momentum ignored the 300lb deer.

Tbh I don’t think I’d go through insurance for that. Looks easy to fix and not hard to find bumpers fenders and a door

Last time they redid the bumper, the insurance cost was ~2k. I figure with doors and lights, hood, and grill/crossbar (lost my damn wrapped bow tie on the front too) I’m looking close to 4K through insurance. I have a zero deductible plan though, so I’d rather turn it in and let them cover it, but I don’t want them to total it either.

With those numbers, Imo they'd probably total the old girl. Poor HD grill:(.

Been a busy month for the Tahoe I guess...

This morning just outside of Nashville at about 04:30 a deer ran out in front of the truck in a dead sprint, and I caught his head with the drivers side light assemblies.

I’m just gonna hope the insurance doesn’t seem this “totaled”View attachment 210075View attachment 210076View attachment 210077View attachment 210078I drove for 4 hours after that home. No damage to internals, but I’m afraid it bent the driver’s door too. Damn deer hit the side of the car so hard in a wraparound that it opened the door.
So glad your safe bud

We increased the lift from 4.5 to 6" and swapped the 33" tires with 35s. Check it out!

p.s. I have 4 33" Nitto Ridge Grappler tires in excellent condition with 500 miles on them for sale!

Looks really good.

Glad you're ok. Hope you come out one the good side of the damage with or without insurance.

Love that lope. FIRE :flamingdevil:out that pipe would be pretty badass!! lol
I'm surprised it doesn't! It's been over a year since the motor mods and I'm still loving it! Of course my gf still hates it lol.
Ran some rough numbers.

Nada retail value 8k
Tenn damage threshold =75%
So, 6k

Ugh. F*cking deer.
If you have a buddy who owns a body shop, maybe ask him to write an estimate that'll just come under the totaled threshold. And still have him do the work--win/win.

Lol lmao yes sir I just rebuilt the transmission at home so I'm a little short with cash for the truck. I want to do a 3/5 drop that should be sufficient for the gap delete lol
Sweet. Any future plans to close that wheel gap a bit more? :Big Laugh:

What are you looking to get for the 33'S? 20" i'm guessing.
