I'd hit the yards for a setup. Even if the calipers are no good, you could use them as a core for the parts store. Don't forget to grab the caliper bracket too.
Yeah damnit. My calipers just showed up and no caliper brackets...

Now i need to source some

I just did a quick check on Amazon. Not sure which you'd need, but totally doable.

And, you'll need this.

Nice Job!!!
I like how the audio system uses factory locations and is hidden.

Thanks!

Liking the video. What happened with the seat covers?

Thanks!

The seat covers.. well first of all the quality is just OK.. I'm not even sure if they're all leather–I think there's some vinyl in there. And for what I paid I expect leather. Secondly, the reason I chose The Seat Shop is because I watched their comparison video where they explain where their seat covers are better than their competitors.. but the seat covers they sent me are identical to their competitors. They didn't have any of the features that they claim in their video make them superior. They might have even resold their competitors seat covers to me.

Overall the seat covers aren't bad and they're much better than what they replaced but The Seat Shop definitely lied to me.

More of big company's deceptive practices. I think @Rocket Man had a similar experience with them. On the stock seats, sides are vinyl, and the tops are leather. So, leather seating surfaces. They do look good on your Hoe. How were the clips? Good, or did they suk?

Makes sense. Any idea what a set should cost at a junk yard? Just so I don't get reemed. Lol
Speaking of washed and touched up the wheels getting them ready to sell.

Selling the wheels right? That truck looks to good to sell.

It's been awhile since I've been to the yards, and I've never bought calipers before. I can't see spending more then $20-$25 per side. Anything more then that is high. Might be cheaper then that. I can't see a high demand for these parts. Just make sure to grab that caliper bracket. Check out your local cl, offerup and letgo for anyone parting out any trucks. I got both complete sides--which everything was good, for just the shipping cost from a fellow member.

LMAO im paying nearly $4 per gallon on 91 here...

  • What are you putting 93 in for? not much use running the higher octane on most of these rigs in stock form. My lq9 can take advantage of it though I think. Costs me nearly $100 per tank in the caddy

im tuned so i run 93 in it, my regals supercharged so that needs the 93 for sure, and for the 20 cents more a gallon, why not.

if it was 4 bucks for 91 id run 87, but its 3.13. and im used to taking the extra hit for the last 10 years with the regal, its painless these days. i do miss the last few years where it was under 3 for 93, iirc it dropped to 245 ish.

Shit, your gas is almost as much as ours now, i would take to trip out 84 to pa, then shoot off 1st exit into jersey which was cheap asf.... or if coming up from gsp, 17 or 287 and make sure i filled up right before state line....years ago.....

Yeah, thx to Christie. He bumped the gas tax up by .25 or .24 cents a gal.

If your gonna do brakes pads and rotors. I'll give you a thing I wish I did. When I got my suburban I did brakes. Now I wish I had done the nnbs upgrade since I was dishing out the money. Not a ton more expensive than just a regular upgrade.

Can you tell me what the NNBS upgrade is? I work for a automotive repair shop so parts are readily available to me. With the larger wheels and tires I'd love to have a bigger front brake set up. I also was thinking of doing the SS lines just to give it that much more of an upgrade. I'm new to the Tahoe world, I would enjoy having some subtle upgrades to keep it from being too flashy or hard to resell.

NNBS upgrade is front rotors, calipers & brackets, pads from the GMT900 (07-14) trucks. It is straight bolt on. The rotors are 13" so you do need a minimum of 17" wheels to run them. Here's a good thread, there are a few more as well. The SS lines have also proven very beneficial.
