Finally got around to doing my trans filter and fluid swap, also got the forward accumulator done after being too chicken shit to try it in the trans. Became a lot easier after removing the trans crossmember.

Did an oil change and replaced the right front wheel hub. Besides being 92 degrees out, everything was straight forward.

How long does everybody run their oil for? I used to do 3k for my conventional 5w-30... but then I end up doing an oil change in less than 3 months. Thinking of stretching it to 5k.

I usually do one every 2500. The most I've stretched it was to 3000, and I had to add a qt.

That’s every 2 months for me [emoji23] My truck doesn’t burn any oil so I never top off, but that just seems so often. I also installed a Fumoto drain valve so that’s gonna make the change less messy since I won’t have that huge stream when the drain plug comes out.

With good synthetics, you can get 5K out of it pretty easily.

Removed the dinky leaking factory trans cooler for a Derale transmission cooler that is 2x the size. installed new DRL sockets (again) and non melted turn signal assemblies (only 1 year old). Turn signals leaked about 4 months of owning, water got inside, chrome pain inside flaked off and shorted out the bulbs. They were Depo brand (total junk), I went with TYC, much nicer quality and I silicone caulked around the lens seam just in case. Note the dead bird on the condenser.

Looks like there is a new AC condenser in my future.

I never change my oil, just dump a quart in every 60 days and swap filter every 180 days

Lol! I smacked a great Dane one night that crept out from between two cars. Thought I hit a human, so I circled around with a tarp and called my buddy the pig farmer

I also found out that my fuel pump pickup must be going bad. It fuel starved on the highway and I limped it to the gas station. Could only get 20.000 gallons (exact) into the tank. Ahh old truck problems.
