4600's with shock extenders? I'm asking because I'm on the market as well. I may need to perform the free travel mod as well
If you lower the rear then yes you need shock extenders regardless of which shocks you have on. They are used so your shocks aren't already partially compressed, leaving only about half the normal travel. Extenders give you back the travel that lowering loses so your shocks don't bottom out.

You can run without extenders if you enjoy bottoming out the shocks lol.
I know a guy that did it. He cut his springs too. Decranked stock keys. Literally a free lowering kit lmao. He was like you can do yours, I said I'll pass.

Did a little brake work prep to make next weekend's big brake job go soother. Striped the rear brakes down, soaked everything in penetrating oil, and prepped the new NNBS front calipers and the old NBS calipers for paint.

A few more details on today, as well as future updates, on my build thread.

I'm pretty sure you just need to make sure you are using canbus LEDs. Canbus LEDs have loading resistors in them (I think) that allows the truck to tell there is a good bulb in there.

Good point. I'd read about this issue in a previous thread. I do not believe they are the canbus type. Thx for reminding me about that.

Didn't do anything yet because it just happened, but my cluster is dead again. Sux! And I keep getting the "Reduced Engine Power".

Went outside this morning to take the cluster out. Checked first before removing it and it works now! As @Galante stated, probably is a bad ground somewhere

It may also be a bad solder joint on one of the surface mount resistors on the main board up and to the right of the speedo stepper motor.

I had to reflow the ones to the left that control the PRND321 lighting, but the video I watched (and linked in the post on my build thread) pointed out the others that control the main power to the console. I reflowed them while I was in there just as preventative maintenance.

Have a link? I actually had this cluster rebuilt. All new steppers and the prndl was reflowed too.

Finally installed my Powerstop rotors, Wearever Platinum Pro pads (thanks again @corvette744 for the heads up thread on the PS pads). Also replaced my rear shocks as I had a squeaky one driving me nuts.

Very happy with the brakes. The shocks are just some Monroes I got a good deal on, so we'll see.

I'm needing brakes soon myself. What's 5deal with the platinum pro pads?

I also added 1 qt of oil because it was low.
