Thanks to @TheAutumnWind I got some 1/0 welding wire, crimp connectors and a hydraulic crimper for my big 3 upgrade. I just had to try out the crimper and it worked great. Don't tell Harbor Freight though because I'm returning it after I crimp 6 lugs. I don't see me needing it afterwards and it's $40 lol.

Where did you end up getting the wire from and how long did you get?

what products did you use? looks great.
Thanks. I use Finish Line Pro Detail and 3M products. I started with the claybar, then used 3M cutting compound and Finish Line glaze with a hi-speed buffer, then finally rubbed in some spray wax by hand.

Is that a street scene grille ?
Paint looks great btw
Yes sir, polished version.

Sold it. It started to become a money pit. As the Gambler would say "you gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em, and know when to walk away"

There's a hood for $70 in Austin, but it's kinda beat up, and the wrong color. But now I have the HD hood bug :(

$70 is a steal if it is close enough to drive to pick it up.

Look in build thread or at my avatar for the way mine looked when I bought it. Had a couple dents and turned out to have some hidden rust beneath layers of primer and paint.

I'd say get it then worry about the body shop stuff provided it isn't completely mangled or smashed.

Nothing too terrible. But I would have a hard time convincing the 'rents that it's worth it haha.

I totally understand. With the caveat that absolutely nothing we do to our trucks is "worth" it to anybody but us.

:lol2:

The HD hood is a unicorn And a shame to miss out on but nonetheless we all have to have permission. Parents, wives.... I wish you luck on this one.
