That's pretty crazy. I get 10-13 city and 15-18 hwy and mine is a Denali meaning 6.0 and AWD

I know. 4.8L with only K&N CAI and Flowmaster 50 muffler. BBP tuned to 93 Octane. Nothing else crazy. 24s of course play a bit into that factor. A little foot as mentioned, and stupid city stop and go driving. Maybe I'll just go buy a Denali or Escalade with the 6.0 so I can justify the crappy city mpg? Haha...wife wants one bad now after riding in the work LTZ Suburban. Dammit!!

Edited^^ BBP and 24s. ^^

My denali gets worse mpg than that. Tuned?
BlackBear tune.
I got 1-2 mpg more on the old engine. Since the new lq4 is tight my mpg has dropped a bit.

If you guys are running larger than factory diameter tires you need to remember that and account for it. With the speedo reading under, so does the odometer meaning you are traveling more miles than its registering.

Oh yeah. Running stock tires/wheels.

I'm overdue for some basic stuff though; I've got: plugs, diff fluid, atf, fuel filter sitting in the garage waiting to be changed.

I'm getting more like 10 city, 14-15 hwy atm.

I responded to someone that was using something from rare parts recently.

I'm surprised that there isn't more information regarding steering upgrades from the 3/4 and 1 tons on these vehicles. The jeep guys do that stuff all the time.

I'm going with moog personally.
More info, part #'s, threads, etc, on HD steering upgrades? I've never seen any info on that.

Thanks!

I was getting like 12mpg city with two alternators,26" rims and truck at 7000lbs... I just put quad alternators on so I'm Forsure going to see less mpg.... I'm going to slamology car show this weekend for three days. I will see what kind of highway miles I get when I go.

I'm just using factory replacement MOOG parts personally. Just commenting that I am surprised to not see a lot of guys going that route. Can't be too hard to get some of the 3/4 ton stuff to work on our 1/2 ton trucks. I'll bet that would be way cheaper than rareparts stuff, which imho is crazy expensive. It looks like good parts though, I can see how some people would be willing to spend that.

I've had the HD links in my hands and the shaft that goes into the knuckle is bigger than on the 1500's. Me and the guy at the tire/alignment shop had all kinds of parts out. Would require figuring out a way to either drill out the 1500 knuckle or get a 2500/3500 one to mount up. By the time you go through all that its worth the $275 for the beefy Rare Parts links that bolt right up. IMO

Thats easy, an $80 reamer bit could open up that knuckle. Jeep guys do it pretty commonly. What is the difference in cost between the 2500/1500 links?

If they have BBP tunes, the larger diameter tires have probably been accounted for. They calibrated my speedo for my 305/30-26 tires when I did my tune. I currently get 11- 12 city/hwy combined in my Denali. I don't go by my DIC though, it says I'm getting way more. I use the trip meter between fillups and do the math.

Where'd you get those? I've been looking but can't find any. I was hoping I could find a p/n to get some new ones.
I actually found a 02 Escalade being parted out and I scored them. You cannot order just these knobs, you would actually have to order the whole Escalade AC panel just to get the knobs. AC Delco/GM would make a fortune if they sold just the knobs.
So the only way to get JUST these knobs is to get them like I did, find someone selling them. I have heard of quite a few people "swiping" them from car lots. One guy said he saw a 02 Esky for sale, so he went to go test drive it, but put his stock AC knobs in his pocket first. Swapped them out in like 30 seconds, and the salesman never noticed a thing.

Got cash on top so I picked up some 295/70r18 Terra grapps. Got them put on at work today and I couldn't be any happier.
