What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

When for a drive today. 310 mile. I toped off the tank and when I got back home the tank was empty but the light wasn't on.
What is everyone else getting to a tank ?
Driving with 5 people with Ac on @ 75 mph I was getting 15.5mpg

Not too bad, I don't do alotta highway driving but usually get 15-16 when I do, mostly do city driving with my lead foot I get 280ish on a tank

In mine on the highway I get around 450 and city is 350 till the light is on per tank.

Put the roof basket back on her after about a year lol. Then packed up and moved my stuff to college station along with my grandpa's f150. Unloaded everything from the pickup, gonna finish with the hoe in the morning. Good to be back in Aggieland!

What did you pay each ? I can get the 5100 for $140 cdn. Just trying to see what's the average is. And from what I can see there is two different 5100's part numbers ! Anyone know the difference? I read the description but could see the difference

not today but 2 days ago on Saturday. I replaced the Auxillary rear air resistor for the fan speed control. The 1 & 2 speeds were not working leaving only the 3 setting to work. Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 12477721, 88986482 for $61 from RockAuto.. the process is very simple. remove the rear cargo net screw out nub, pop out the lower panel tree plug, remove the lower and upper door trim, remove the rear pillar trim, remove the 5.5mm bolt on the passenger door seat belt trim by the cup holder. now you can pop the rear corner of the lower cargo side panel out and access the regulator at the rear of the fan. You have 2 nut bolts and 3 wires to disconnect. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS OFF!. reverse process and let that cold AC blast.

Cammed 6ltr..Broke 2 transmissions. Last one was a Jasper 4l65 with shift kit and circle d 26-2800 stall. Wanted something beefier.

How does she drive now with the 4L80??

Man I only drove it thru my neighborhood and to the gas station. Wanted to get a feel for the converter and make sure the trans wasn't slipping. I have the worse combo of 3.42 gears and big wheels to run an 80e but I can already tell it not as bad as most say. I have a 10.5" converter that weighs 1/3 the factory unit that helps. I got some fantom codes popping up for abs C0279 and PCM 1810 that I'm trying to work thru with BB before really getting into it.

I did pump mods and the HD2 kit with sonnax pressure relief valve and shifting is smooth as butter so far. I'll post updates as its worked out.

I got 4600s for $62 us on ebay

5100s likely come in varying lengths. Also keep in mind that the hd trucks have different shock mounts so dont get one of those. Also takenote that there is an old part # and a new part # for thw same shock.

5100s besides length are valved differently than 4600s btw. 5100s are digressive and 4600s are linear.

Could you please explain the difference between progressive and linear, concerning shocks. Thx. I have kybs on my 03 dropped How, what would work best for my setup?
