ill give ya Chicago. rest of the country has no clue whats good.

I have learned when on vacation that missing good pizza is part of it. Anytime I try to quench the thirst somewhere else, I CAN'T BELIEVE what they call pizza.

P. S. Don't tell anybody, but I can dig a NY slice.

I'm up here in Rome in Central NY, about 45 minutes from Syracuse (almost dead-center in NY), and our "sister city" Utica was once the hub of the Mob trafficking all across the US. As such, it seems like over half of the city of Utica has names that end in a vowel. Rome, almost as many - the two cities are less than 15 miles apart.

And we've got some damn good pizza joints here! Paesano's, O'Scugnizzio's, LaRoma's, Tony's (all seven of them), Charlie's, so many more.... and there's pretty much one within a 4-5 block radius, no matter where you are. Hell, even the local convenience stores are delicacies compared to the trash I've had other places throughout the country!

One of my personal favs is a place called the Garage, it used to be a car repair facility about 20 years ago. The owner's last name ends with "ini", and he has one particular pie that I drool over just thinking about it. He calls it LaPhunk, with sauce that is half pizza sauce, and half hot wing sauce. Almost a full layer of pepperoni over the top, then double cheese, with crushed red pepper on top.

Spicy.

Lol I'm serious it hasn't snowed here since thanksgiving. Got like an 1" on Christmas eve that's it. Just cold and dry and miserable. Winter with no snow is like a ********** with fully clothes strippers

Oh, here we go again with someone who doesn't live in Chicago talking "pizza". Go home, you're drunk.
It's 2017. People move. Set up shop in other states. The only reason chicago or ny has the best pizza is because its nostalgic, theres equal or better pizza in other parts of the country.
There I said it. Go home you're drunk and stuck in the 80s :chewie:

Stop, you’re drunk.

Actually, theres a place out west that imports water from NYC in 55 gal drums because thats what makes the pizza better.....;)

It is. I've been known to eat ten or eleven slices.... when a 16" large is cut into 8.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on which way you look at it), that won't ever happen again, as I had my gastric bypass surgery a month ago. Down to 291 lbs from my high of 337 before the surgery. Four more weeks until I can even attempt to eat any real "solid" food, like a hamburger. At that point, I won't even be able to eat a single slice without throwing part of it away.

Doc's goal for me is 221 lbs. I'll be a friggin' Ethiopian at that weight.
