Only difficult in the cost. But it did take my guy all day. He said it was a pain in the ass. That's not something I could tackle myself.

Was thinking of a DIY project but sounds like it would be better left to someone else...mind sharing the price you paid?

Any thoughts of just removing the letters? Maybe pictures don't do it justice but it might look better off. Otherwise I like the move. Not a fan of the chrome and have debated removing my door molding and the Denali letters to completely debadge my own ride.

I've gone back and forth with just debadging but decided against it for now but still not a fan of the chrome. The black lettering does look better in person than what the photos show.

I paid $275. Not sure if that's a fair price or not but seemed to be pretty consistent with places I looked at around me. I'm satisfied with the results. And after looking at the photos on the computer as opposed to my phone, I do like the black letters. It didn't show up very well on the phone. Looks good! I still can't decide what I'm going to do...

I think $275 seems pretty reasonable given the amount of time it took to complete. I'd definitely be willing to pay that.

I just got a quote for $300 from a local shop to do all the chrome window trim. Seems fairly reasonable to me.

How much are they charging? You bring to dealer or shop?

Total install cost was $200. It was a shop, wasn't even sure the dealership would have installed an aftermarket exhaust.

I probably could have installed it myself but since I don't have easy access to a lift and I've never done one before I'd rather just pay to have it done.

Swapped out the LT grill with the LTZ and installed Mirimoto HID's. Let me know if you are interested in the old LT grill. :)

I'm actually looking to go the opposite way and reduce the amount of chrome on my LT. Anyone know of a good grill that is blacked out but retains the Chevy bowtie emblem? I could do a wrap or plastidip but would be more of a pain than to just swap out the grill I think.

Nice! I plan to do the same with our Yukon SLT but like another member on here, I'm going with OEM Denso ballasts and phillips 4300k bulbs.

Is the Denso ballasts with the Phillips bulbs what comes with LTZ?

not sure...probably the bulb but I know Denso is used in many oem setup, like toyota/lexus, land rover. I know a lot of gm vehicles use Valeo ballasts.

The LTZ does not come with Denso ballasts or re-based Philips 4300K HID bulbs. However, like ajs800 said, I installed the most OEM set-up I could find just short of replacing the entire headlight assemblies, harnesses, etc.... at a cost of more than $3,000.

The Denso ballasts and Philips bulbs have been perfect for 5 months installed in my wifes SLT with zero issues. The ballasts and bulbs are the components you want to spend the extra money on when going to an HID set-up.

just got done putting 1700 miles on mine. Got 18 mpg cumulative for the whole trip with all that crap on the Tahoe. Very happy with her. Just wish I could ditch the top rack and gain a few MPGs...but no room

check out all the damn bugs. so many that they started affecting light output at night.
