Oil change and a wash. Ready for winter (not really, I’m never ready for disgusting weather) but at least the Tahoe is.

Very interested. Please update when you find out. Before my 19 z06 with the LT4, I had a 16 stingray with the LT1. Lots of AFM lifter failures on the older LT1s, specifically bank 7 (closest to driver side windshield). Dealer replaced literally everything from the cam up under warranty (unfortunately it scored the cam). Ever since that fiasco a few years back, I’ve been using a Range device in my Tahoes to prevent V4 mode. Not a panacea, but preventing the V4 BS in a V8 truck I purposely purchased should help the dropping valve situation a bitDropped her off at the dealer Friday morning, they are thinking lifter failure, I think its vacuum pump... But extended warranty will be the judge I guess.

I’d highly recommend buying directly from them as opposed to saving a couple bucks to buy from some eBay or Amazon vendor. The guys at range are great. My older unit started acting up. They paid for me to ship it in. 2days later overnighted me a brand new unit with the latest version. Well worth dealing with them directly.I really need to get a range device...
Same here. Did an oil change and the ca was over 3/4 full in 7K miles. Sure does its job. Cleaned her up best I could so now my wife can go ahead and destroy it again.emptied catch can. 3500 miles on this oil change. About 6 ounces

Sorry to hear buddy, but glad warranty will take care of this. Sorry if I missed it, what year is your Tahoe? 5.3 6speed? On a side note, the LT1s have been known to have VLOM issues that lead to AFM valve failures. Ask your dealer if that will be replaced. I’d insist they replace the VLOM and see what they sayTwo lifters were failing, not complete trash, warranty will be replacing them all... Cam was saved, That is nice but would have been cool to get a BTR 2 in there maybe... hahaha.
5.3 6 speed... I didnt want an 8 speed anything after hearing so many issues... I am asking on the VLOM we will see... Thankfully I bought the warranty...Sorry to hear buddy, but glad warranty will take care of this. Sorry if I missed it, what year is your Tahoe? 5.3 6speed? Some people think tuning or a Range device is all you need. These certainly help, at least avoid the AFM triggering, but unfortunately you still have the same, weak garbage components in your motor. I bought my 19 as a CPO, with 100k mile warranty. If I keep it past that, I’m getting into the top end of the motor and replacing the AFM cursed lifters once and for all.5.3 6 speed... I Fin hate AFM....
They are replacing the VLOM also... Thanks for bringing it up...Sorry to hear buddy, but glad warranty will take care of this. Sorry if I missed it, what year is your Tahoe? 5.3 6speed? Unfortunately that's how it's designed to work.Wife bought me the boost auto 6hi mod and fog light mod as a little Christmas gift. Installed this
Morning and noticed when I remote start the fogs come on, when I’m driving and turn my lights on the fogs come on. But when I’m just driving during the day and my regular DRLs are on my fog lights are not… wondering if I installed them incorrectly or if this is normal for the mod
I guess I don’t need my fogs during the day anyway but I just want to make sure I did it right as I was under the impression that the fogs are on whenever the LED strips on the headlights were on
Thanks for the input. I’ll check it out when I get a chance… I actually didn’t install the 6hi mod because I did the fog light mod first then I noticed when I flicked the hi beams the fogs didn’t turn off… so I just left it at that. I double checked my connections and they’re accurate. I will say the video says to use a blue wire and brown wire for the fog mod but it specifically says that wire terminal location is more important than color. My brown wire is actually brown with white stripe but it’s In the exact spot they said it has to be (spot 10) on the plug.Unfortunately that's how it's designed to work.
Just a heads up tho, next time you drive during the day with only your auto DRL's on, turn one of your turn signals on and then see if your fog lights are flashing. When I was running both the 6hi mod and the auto fog light mod, it caused the fog lights to be activated during the day by both the turn signals and pressing on the brakes. I'm not sure if I had them installed wrong or if they are just not designed to work together during the day when the headlights are off.
