the 305's look 10x's better than the 285's. what little bit I drove so far the XT's have a good ride and don't seem noisy

That's a stock 22" rim right? No rubbing on the 305/45-22? Can you post a full shot of your ride? I was debating to lower the back to level it out but after seeing your post... I have to rethink it. Seems those tires fill in pretty good. My only concern will be rubbing.

yes stock wheels. no rubbing at all, it has a RC leveling kit on the front. I was concerned about rubbing too but after they were mounted and put on there is plenty of clearance. I will get a full shot tomrrow, the wife has already took off in it lol

View attachment 64778 Just sold my 12 ltz tahoe. It was lowered 2/4 with 22 u-2 55s. Also had all of the escalade goodies on it. I just finished putting her back to stock. I just purchased a 15 suburban LT. Its not a Tahoe but the deal was to good to pass on. I just added all of the exterior LTZ chrome, tinted the sides in 20% and tinted the windshield in 55%. As soon as I am able to sell some of the stuff that I removed from the 12, I am going to add chrome 24 inch wheels and drop it 2/4. I would love to add a set of slotted rotors and pads as well.

Ordered the cargo shade and the center console organizer. $82k truck and can't believe they don't come with them already....

Tomorrow: Getting lowered with Tony's kit. 1.5 / 4". Long overdue.

So a couple of mentions in this thread have me curious.

Front Valence: what types of shops cut them back and how much do / did most of you scale it back. 2 inches? More? Less? Sales rep at my dealer said he'd never heard of this modification.

Brake Kit -- I tow a boat, the extra braking sounds like it might come in handy. Front only? Kit name(s)? Both front and back?

Thx in advance for your replies.

I was gonna shorten mine 2 inches. Run some blue painters tape for a straight line. Cut it with a dizz wheel. It has a defined break thats right at 2 inches

for brake kits, look at the following:
baer, SSBC, stoptech & wilwood

get front & rear kit

i have the stoptech trophy sport

if you want to just upgrade your rotors, i think tony (norcal ss) sells the r1 concept rotors & pads

Well it was yesterday...

I picked up a new Magnaflow 14259 18" Muffler off craigslist & just got back from installing it on my 2016 GMCYukon SLT. I did have them delete the flapper valve, but I left the resonator in fear of drone from the straight thru muffler.

I did notice it doesn't seem to go into V4 mode on the interstate (75mph) unless I tap the brake to turn off the cruise. I wonder if the flapper valve creates back pressure (or something) that helps switch it from V8 to V4? Has anyone else removed their flapper and noticed this?

Love the exterior chrome you've added. I've done it all except the door panel chrome. Where did you get yours from? Looks really good!

Paintless dent removal! I about came unglued when I came out of the movies and saw this, not even 1500 miles. Turned out great though, I had to pull up the picture to tell where it even was. Still not an expense I wanted to pay for...
