Hello everyone, in one of the topics I posted information on the experience of improving the head light of the Chevrolet Tahoe 21+. I was asked to elaborate on this by creating a separate topic about it. I repeat right away, this car is not mine, I have a Yukon. In general, let's go.
Initially, the light in Tahoe and Yukon is very different. It's worse on the Tahoe. A buddy of mine decided to get some light work done on his '21 Tahoe. He gave the car to the lighting studio, they checked the level of light. Dipped beam gave out 25Lux. And this is how he shone in near and far mode on the wall

In the studio, the headlights were dismantled and regular diodes were taken out. They looked, frankly, poor. Some cheap Chinese diodes.

At the stage, we decided to put 2 low beam modules MTF Constructor Low Beam 1.8 ″ 5500K into the headlight unit, and separately put a more powerful diode into the high beam unit. What kind of diode the studio did not tell, since they also develop solutions based on diodes themselves. Kind of a secret))))

Because of the custom solution, it took a very long time to try on and adjust the light on the car itself.

In the end, everything was set up and assembled. The measurement showed that now the dipped beam gives out 79Lux, against 25Lux of regular light. And here's what happened on the wall. The difference is very noticeable.

The budget for this decision in Russia came out to about $ 1,300. I also contacted them with the Yukon. But Yukon's headlights are made a little differently, and you won't be able to put modules there. Well, or remove the rectangular covers in the headlight, but then it will look quite strange. Replacing the diode will lead to overheating, which is also bad. In general, I'm still talking with two Yukon studios, maybe someone will come up with something

Thanks for posting this info @Vladimir2306. Coming from someone who appreciates light upgrades, output/performance, and who has owned previous vehicles with projector retrofits $1,300 is a reasonable spend for the upgrade in performance and output seen here.

I've had a 2015 Yukon XL Denali with upgraded Osram CBI HID bulbs
Currently own a 2019 Escalade ESV with OEM LED headlights
Currently own a 2013 Escalade ESV with OEM HID's upgraded to Osram CBB HID Bulbs
3 month rental of 2021 Yukon XL SLT with OEM LED headlights.

I was disappointed in the light output/performance of the 2021 Yukon LED headlights; Sure they look good on the vehicle and from the front but the performance just isn't there.

The OEM LED headlights on our 2019 Escalade ESV that my wife drive's perform better than the 2021+ GMC Yukon LED headlights.

The 2013 Escalade ESV with OEM HID headlights with the Bi-Xenon projectors have better output/performance than the 2021+ GMC Yukon LED headlights.

The 2015 GMC Yukon Denali HID headlights (K2XX HID headlights) are have the worst lighting output/performance compared to the vehicles above. Even with the upgraded Osram CBI bulbs; They helped some, but really the OEM HIG projector GM used in garbarge.

Hopefullly you continue to pursue an upgrade path to the 2021+ GMC Yukon LED headlights! Keep us posted in what you are able to accomplish there.

Thread 'LED bar' https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/led-bar.142902/
Thank you, yes, unfortunately the basic head light is not the strong point of GM cars. At the moment, I have installed a Rigid LED beam, describing it in a separate topic) Welcome))

So I've looked at the MTF Constructor LED Low Beam 1.8 ″ 5500K projectors a bit more, and they also offer a High Beam LED Projector. They're a very powerful and efficient compact LED projector. They're ability to be installed in both horizontal and vertical arrangements offers a lot of flexibility.

Checking out their website they even have a Bi-LED 1.8" 5500K LED projector!

There has got to be a way to open up a 2021+ GMC Yukon LED headlight and put 3 sets of those Bi-LED projectors in there! To have all 3 on for low beam and all 3 on for high beam would be the ultimate 2021+ LED headlight set up!

Have you opened up a 2021+ GMC Yukon LED headlight to see how similar the mounting and wiring is to the 2021+ Tahoe LED headlight you guys upgraded?

there is another problem. If you install modules, then most likely the awesome design of Yukon headlights and rectangular sectors will disappear. Plus it is not clear how the cooling will cope. In general, in order to understand what is inside, you need to disassemble Faro. And if we have a lot of Tahoe, then Yukon is a rarity. And it will be quite expensive to bring a broken headlight for disassembly from the USA)))
