Under the Hood - literally

2005 What are the wires the attach under the hood near the firewall driver side, and does a Yukon even have an engine compartment light? (Where?).

Or does a 2005 Yukon even HAVE an under hood light???

I don't believe it would have an under hood light.

Aha! Now, what would those wires be that go to the underside of the hood?

Ground? Although I have seen a couple NBS tahoes with a under hood light which I believe was factory

My 01 tahoe has underhood light.Pretty handy actually!Maybe ill replace it with an led because the light is kind of dim.

My 2002 yukon has a factory underhood light....

03 they got rid of the underhood light for all models i believe (pickups and suvs), if i'm not mistaken its some sort of ground strap now, so i wouuld connect it back up if you disconnected it, lol
