New to the site... And new to the go side of the "all show no go" world...

The ride is an 04 yukon...4.8 engine is all stock...
Not really lookin to race it but a power increase would be great.
I would like to keep it simple.. But need more go for self-satisfaction and haulin the 23' ski boat...

I hear turbos are a less expensive way to go then the sc, but i see most of the rides on the site are pushin the sc and eng. Swaps

any and all input is appriceated...

And while were on topic... Anyone sellin one... Turbo or sc

Nice Yukon! The way these engines breathe, most people opt for a roots-style supercharger setup for the best gains and throttle response. PM JennaBear for more info.

a root style sc is more reliable. twin turbo too complicated and not as reliable as the sc. get a bolt on sc kit and call it a day. the more you increase the hp the more money u got to spend to rebuild trany, diff, good suspension, tune and all that bs.

nice yukon by the way.

Magnacharger w/TVS1900 head unit sounds like the best option for you. Will tow just fine but an aforementioned transmission upgrade will be in your future. Check out www.finishlinetrans.com or performancetrucks.net for some good info.

shit my suburban had about 260k and 0 problems trannys go out first but has never happen to me. some people do a leak down test before boosting just to make sure the engine will be up to it.
