The rear passenger wheel seal is leaking, and since the vehicle has about 230,000 km's, I figured might as well do both the bearings/seals on both sides.
Trying to confirm what part numbers I need to replace the rear wheel bearings and seals.

My vehicle is a 2006 Yukon SLT, 17" tires with a G80/4:10 axle. 5.3L GAS Engine (non-flex fuel).

I do not know vehicle specs like the ring gear size, axle diameter (PIC ITEM #4), and I don't know if these dimensions are important for the task at hand, if (ex.) there is only one size across all 2006 Yukon OEM axles(?).

I have compilied a parts list as to what I *THINK* I need, but came across some conflicting info in my searches.

Is anyone able to add any part number corrections to the seals or bearings, or suggest other things I should check (RPO codes?) to confirm if I have the correct seal/bearing part numbers?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parts I have:
PIC ITEM #2: Rear Axle Shaft Seals (w/ 8.50" Ring Gear; w/ 8.625" Ring Gear), 2 seals, AC-Delco PART #291-315
- apparently fits drive ratios 3.42, 3.73. But couldn't find anything that said 4.10.

PIC ITEM #7: Rear Differential Housing Gasket (10 bolt), FEL-PRO PART #RDS550281

PIC NOT SHOWN: C-Clips (Copper 0.150"/3.8mm, Silver 0.155"/3.9mm), 1 set, DORMAN PART #81050

Parts I yet to obtain:
PIC ITEM #1: Rear Drive Axle Shaft Bearing (1.619" ID x 2.800" OD), AC-Delco PART #12479031

Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, go to the drive train section, and look for the exploded diagram of the rear drive. You should find what you are looking for along with the correct part number. And, the cost will be significantly cheaper than the local dealer.

Those are the right GM/ACDelco part numbers. AAM sells a kit, they made your axle. I "think" it's 74050011, double check.

I use these kits on my own as they are the same components at a much lower price usually.

Your original differential cover gasket is reusable. That Fel-Pro one is not. Having said that, it's always good to have a spare on hand in case the one on there gets damaged during removal.

Thanks, I didn't think to check GM parts direct... using dealer lookup site, and retail sites... might have helped me save some confusion.

Thanks! I've got that kit number noted, a quick check seems to match.
