Couple years ago I purchased a transmission rear case extension housing. Since then I have had a constant vibration, which makes me question what I originally installed. At that time, I bought the extension housing from Amazon.

I recently looked at the housing on the vehicle and it has GM part #24208015 stamped on it. Maybe I ordered the wrong part in the first place?

I called my local dealer to see if they had one in stock and what the part number was based on my VIN. He told the part number should be #24241496 but didn't have in stock.

I went back to Amazon, found part #24241496 (which Amazon said did not fit my vehicle) and ordered it, which was around $43. The part arrives and the outside of the box has #24241496, but stamped on the actual housing is #24208015.

Kind of confused at this point. Can anyone shed some light on this? Maybe #24241496 is a replacement to #24208015?

Looking up the part on ACDelco.com parts catalog, I find this:
