Transfer case swap? Single speed to two speed

I have a 2022 4WD Tahoe with the single speed transfer case. I miss my old 2 speed in my old one. Has anyone swapped a two speed case into a single speed Tahoe already ? The two speed was an option for mine, and I can get a good donor 2022 transfer case that’s low mileage.
What problems did you encounter ??

I would think the wiring and controls would be the real problem. Everything is controlled by computers now so it would also take a programing change to allow it to work and I don't think there is anyone that can or will do that.

Find a shop that can crack into the PCM first (like shops that do DFM deletes) because you'll need them and their several thousand dollar computer interface box to re-flash the PCM so it'll play nice with the optional transfer case.

On a side note, what are you doing with your tahoe such that you miss 4x4 low enough to be considering swapping the transfer case? Launching and recovering a boat maybe? These IFS & IRS setup SUV's are not exactly great off-roaders
...

Heavy snow conditions in far northern states, accessing a remote cabin in winter hunting seasons. Also moving a three axle boat trailer from time to time.

This is the 2021 and up, that might be why you haven't got many responses.

Did you ever go for this? I figure you would run into many of the same issues I might end up having; I am trying to do the same on a 2018.

He might still be working on it; hasn't been on here since before Christmas last year, unfortunately.

Hi everyone, I’ve been around, don’t usually sign in though, sorry. I had another major back operation, so my xfer case swap has been on hold. Still looking into it. If I do it, I’ll post all the info on the swap.
I’ve meanwhile run into another problem with my 2022 Tahoe. None of my other GM 4x4’s ever did this. I was 4x4 mode when I transitioned from a snow covered street onto a wet street. After driving a short distance, I went to parallel part. After turning the wheel to back into the spot, I couldn’t move the truck. It felt like the front drive system was locked up. I couldn’t get the Tahoe to move until I switched back over to 2wd. Then the truck would roll and the steering felt normal again. The pavement was not dry, still very wet w/ a little slush.
To me it felt like the front differential and hubs were locked up by the tight turn angle of the wheels. I did not force it with more throttle as I didn’t want to break things, I knew something wasn’t right. Any one else experience this ? My previous GM trucks, which had manual xfer cases and hubs, only did this on dry pavement, but would still move and steer. I just want to know if this was normal or do I start looking for an issue. Not new to 4x4’s, but I do think I have a mechanical problem.
What do you all think ?
