No luck, codes came back. Going to reinstall the stock intake tube for a couple of days to see if the Airaid is defective.

Ok, another update. I e-mailed Justin last week and asked him about this, and he seems to think that the issue is a problem with the Flex Fuel system on the truck. When the intake tube came loose, the truck freaked out and changed some of the parameters of the fueling system to try and get it running normally again. Now, with the intake tube hooked back it, the computer doesn't know what to do or how to compensate (which seems a little backwards to me, but I didn't design the thing...I just drive it). It would require a scan to confirm this and possibly re-flashing my tune files, so rather than waiting for a scan cable and having to physically swap out the computers and do the Security/CASE re-learn, I just bit the bullet and bought an AutoCal. Much easier this way...I can just e-mail the EFI Live files back and forth w/ Justin and upload them to the truck on the fly from the handheld. Really hoping this solves the problem.

Either way, I talked the wife into letting me buy an AutoCal...so I think I came out ahead. :D

Ok, so I got my AutoCal, went into the software, and proceeded to complete what I thought was an ethanol percentage reset and a idle relearn. The issues persisted all through the drive home from Nevada yesterday. Today, when I got into the truck, it wouldn't start. It would crank and crank, but wouldn't start..like it wasn't getting fuel. I frantically e-mail Justin (again) asking his advice.

He promptly e-mailed me back basically saying "dude...the log you sent doesn't show that the ethanol corrections have been made. Did you do it correctly?"

I read through the instructions again, and realized that while I selected the correct action in the software, I didn't actually complete it. I once again hooked my computer up, repeated the ethanol percentage correction and idle relearn (correctly this time), and the truck fired RIGHT up. No sputtering, no hesitation, everything running great. How it was explained to me was that when the intake tube came off, the extra rush of unmetered air really screwed up the AFR and made the truck think it had E85 in the tank instead of gasoline. Even after putting the tube back on, without correcting the ethanol percentage in the computer, the truck was flooding itself trying to get the fueling correct. That's why it had been sputtering at startup. Today it finally got to the point that it wouldn't run at all because it was injecting so much fuel during startup.

I'll report back if anything changes but at this point, I'm fairly confident that the problem is SOLVED.

About damn time! :happy160:

My 2010 Tahoe is doing something like that. P2135 was the code it gave. First, just the reduced power light came on and now the traction light and the CEL is on. The code was something about the throttle body.

That sounds like a throttle position sensor issue. Have you cleaned or otherwise messed with your throttle body recently? Might want to start a new thread for this.

ok so i had every single symptom that you mentioned...

MY fix was this:

Apparently a rat had chewed through a coil wire in cyl 4 which caused my sputtering and apparently freaked out the computer to shut offmy stabilitrak and Trac cont. and also made 1-2 gears shift hard. My mechanic fixed the wire and replaced the spark plug in that cylinder due to fouling.

Fixed about 2 weeks ago with zero problems since! crossing my fingers that it did the trick.

Apparently it doesnt take much to freak out the computers in these trucks

I also had every issue you described. I popped open my hood to find that the filter for my AEM intake had come loose and was barely hanging on. I immediately reattached it and presto, all Stabilitrack messages and CEL dissapeared. It has been a couple of days now with no issues so I'm hoping that is the end of that issue.

There is a recall out there too for the throttle bodies. I read a while back.

I've been having the same problems as a lot of people it seems with the stabilitrak, traction control, reduced engine power and CEL lately. What started out a couple weeks ago as an occasional thing turned into a daily routine of starting my Yukon 3 times before I wouldn't get the stabilitrak/traction control/reduced engine power and actually be able to accelerate. My symptoms were the messages followed by a rough ride. When I finally came to a stop it was a rough idle and almost like I was gonna rear end the car in front of me with no control, RPMs were going crazy...just a bad situation and pretty unsafe. I cleaned the MAF sensor and for about a week I had no problems, the CEL even went away. A couple days ago the exact same things started happening and I went to O'Reilly to have them check my codes. I got P2135 - Throttle Position TP Sensor 1-2 Correlation and the option of paying $130 for the part (not bad). Before I made any rash decisions I was just gonna try to clean the throttle body and see what happened but before I could a buddy of mine told me about a "service bulletin" for the TPS (Bulletin No: 11-06-04-007B). I called up my local GM dealer and told them about it and they replaced it for free so I saved the $190 they were going to charge me. I have only had it for a day but so far, so good. If it happens again I will keep y'all updated, but for now fingers crossed that it's fixed.

The ethanol percentage reset solved my issues. They haven't returned at all in the two months or so since I did the reset.

TPS issues, while crappy, are an entirely different problem. Glad you got it fixed for free though, that's always nice. :pepper:

2011 Yukon.
I am getting an intermittent Stabilitrack off/Traction Control Off, then Service Stabilitrack Service
Traction Control Light Message with the traction Contol Light. Truck runs fine. No Check Engine Light.
Generally light goes out on restart after truck sits for a while.
May run a day or two and then I get the light again.
Thoughts?

I bet if you connect a OBD II scanner a code will pop up. Mine use to do this all the time and never had the check engine light come on. My camshaft positioning sensor was bad and would turn the stabilitrack light on. Every couple weeks.

Ok, I didn't read everything but I had the same issues and it was an accelerator pedal. Stability track, traction control off and reduce engine power. I told a friend the code and he instantly said, gas pedal. He stopped at the dealership and picked one up for $58 and. It was. 2 bolts and a plug and it was done.

Stabiiitrack/Traction Control

Thanks for the input.
I'll try to get ahold go an OBOII Scanner.
Can anyone anyone recommend a reasonably priced Scanner that can communicate with the
stabilitrack system? I am not getting a check engine light.

I located a Service Bulletin that stated if you get a Stabilitrack message and the code indicates replace Steering Wheel Position Sensor that corrosion in the connector of the sensor needs to be cleaned and reassembled with dielectric grease. Of course the dealer didn't tell me the code and wanted $200 to clean the connector or $400+ to replace it. If I can find the connector I'll try this fix but I'm not prepared to disassemble the steering column. I don't mind paying for the repair but don't want to get into a cycle of replacing parts and hoping the issue will go away.

Started getting the Stabilitrac and ABS warning lights. Used 3 different apps on my Android to read the codes using a bluetooth OBDII connector and came up with zero codes. I do not have an aftermarket intake. The first warning came up within a week after taking the truck through a car wash for the first time since I have owned it, so I wonder if the undercarriage sprayers could have affected something that took a couple days to develop.
