So Iam going to the track this Friday. To settle a dispute. lol. Iam racing with my tahoe. Everything is stock except for a tune. Iam racing my friends with a Focus and a 71 C10 with a 5.0. The dispute is with my friend with a v6 extended cab silverado. His only mods are dual exhaust and a hole cut into his intake box. I know he can get me off the line. So does anyone have a prediction on my time. I know is gonna be bad.

leave in 3, and tree them, leave as soon as 3rd light comes on.
The old C10 weighs about 4200 lbs, I know, I raced mine all the time, but it did finally run 12.80's on motor.

different body style, but my 2005 with a 5.3 and 3.73 gears bone stock ran a 15.6 at 88mph.. you have an 07, so the drive train and truck weight shouldn't be too much different..

Man, I can't wait to take my truck to the track one day. I'm thinking it'll be a year before I get it to where I want it, and have a spare pair of racing tires/wheels.

You're at sea level, so that should help your times. I would guess a 16.0 due to the weight. Mine ran a 16.5ish (dynolicious), but it has the 3.42 gears and we are at 900ft.

Honestly, I bet the truck with the V6 takes you...But I could be wrong. Make sure you run 1/4 mile, cause you might have a chance to run him down on the big end where your HP has the advantage.

I can't in a million years see the V6 Silvrado take you.. That's got to be a 17.0+ truck.. Your truck even with you, a novice, should be in the 16's. here's a link to a few quick tips at the track.. My TBSS ran 13.5's stock consistently when most others were barely breaking into the 13's. http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18786

Thanks for the link. I would have never thought about using 3rd insted of D.

tx07tahoe, what tune and mods do you have?

Tow/Haul mode may help too. Are you going to run E85 or 93 octane?

I wonder if there is any difference between disabling only Traction Control vs. disabling both Traction Control and Stabilitrack.

I too am interested in the trap times and mph...

Just a bully dog self program tune. No other engine mods. I was gonna use the tow haul mod. Iam gonna use 93 octane. I heard you lose HP from E85. Iam gonna turn the TC off.
