Tow Haul

My tow haul keeps coming on, is there a fuse I can remove so it won't come on?

This is a pretty common issue on these body style trucks. I'm guessing your wire is on the verge of being completely broken, and is grounding out intermittently which is causing your tow/haul mode to come on and go off randomly. Follow the directions in this thread and see if your wire is broken or frayed. If it is, you'll need to fix it.

So pulling a fuse or something of that nature won't just keep it off for good?

No it will not. No fuse in the circut. Other option is to unplug the connector in in the column for the switch. But at that rate just fix the wire.

Even if he unplugs the connector the problem won't go away. The wires are probably touching each other which is simulating the button being pushed on and off. Have to fix the wires or cut them apart and tape the ends off so they can't touch.

Negative, there is no fuse for it.

So if I cut the red wire and tape the ends it'll stay off?

It's also a pull-up type signal only circuit not a conventional power side circuit so basically it's a momentary switch to ground that the PCM watches and then it (the PCM) controls the overdrive function. In other words, every time the PCM sees ground (and based on other criteea are met that it also watches) it switches tow/haul mode from one to the other.
