Third owner of this Tahoe, 2005 Z71. Got it at 140k miles, has 199k now. Redoing some front end parts, LCA, UCA, inter/out tie rods and sway links. I noticed that my torsion bars have the L and R marking with arrows on the key end at the crossmember. They are on the correct sides. BUT….are the L and R markings with arrows supposed to be on the LCA end?
I was reading the Cognito install instructions for newer gen torsion bars they sell, and they say specific the letter and arrow go to the front in the LCA, L arrow should point counter clockwise when looking at the front of the vehicle.
Is that true for our generation? Pics or mine attached. Taken from the cross member view.
Please advise if I should swap the ends, so the L and R with arrow are in the LCA. If I do, the L would point counter clockwise still as it does from the cross member end. Can’t find anything for our generation which specs.
