So I just found a tiny rust spot on the roof. Best practice to fix this?

Well, 1st off, good find! I can honestly say the roof is the last place I look for rust being where I live. LOL.......I usually shows up where I SEE it everyday first.

I would just light scuff, use some rust converter primer, and then find the matched color (looks black?). Lightly spray, or use your wife's nail polish brush to apply and feather. Follw up with clear coat in the same manner, minus sanding. VIOLA!

^^^^^x2^^^^^ As @B-train suggested.

If you get a paint touch-up kit from the dealer, you will have everything that you need, including a mildly abrasive tip to clean out that little bit of rust before repairing.
