Bought my 2017 in April 2018. It was noticeably peppier and shifted better than the 2015 Tahoe I traded in.

After about 1 month I switched it from Auto to 2wd. Summertime. No need for the extra wear/tear.

It’s not my daily driver (wife’s) but I’ve noticed all Summer and into Winter that I absolutely hated the shift patterns. Lazy slow shifts. Constantly needs to downshift. I actually put Tow/Haul on when driving around town. Mimics stick shift and the drive is just nicer IMO.

So yesterday weather finally got bad and I put it back into Auto. And PRESTO! My fun Suburban is back. The shifts are crisp, engine is always in power band. It’s like a 60% version of Tow/Haul.

I know Ford does this in 4wd on the F-150. Anyone know more about the how/why Chevy does this?
