Third brake light (top) possible leaking

Has anyone used silicone or gasket sealer to stop the light’s seal from leaking? Had a heavy rain the other day and I just noticed some water marks on the headliner near the back. I called around and stores here only sell the whole brake kit not just the seal and the kit is 80$. The brake light still works and doesn’t need replacing.

if you do plan to use it i suggest tape off the spots you don't want any of the sealant stuff

take it off the SUV if you can
