He said that he was running NO shocks before. The only rear suspension was the springs. He did something else to make it lower........Period

Something isn't right then, maybe they heated the coils up or something. I wish I had disposable income I'd swap in an irs and torquetube from a c6 vette along with a t-56 and some ohlins coilovers to tuck tire out back with negative camber :evillol:

tink you mean c4... cause the 5 and 6 have rear mounted transmissions.

Someone on 67-72chevy did it on their 71 "tahoe" build...

Haha Max and Eagle, you guys both know too much about suspension.
You guys are gonna have to bring that down to the rest of our knowledge area to use posts like that on here.:mexsmoke:

I meant c6, figured buckets in back and some crazy fab work but it would be so killer with a nnbs front suspension and vette irs with a nasty n/a lsx. This is by far the cleanest E30 swap I've seen btw, love those cars:

That what I am thinking he did. I don't care, because im only going .5in lower in the rear, so it will be cali'd out a lil'. I think its funny that this is an educational forum, and he is too cocky/arrogant to explain what he did for others to lower their vehicle. But whatever floats your boat thehoe92.

I don't think he is really being cocky/arrogant Elliot, he is indirectly asking for us to ***** the shit out of this thread since he does not want to tell us how :D. For what its worth, this forum, along wtith most others, is notorius for copy cat so I kind of understand his BS'n around. That's why 70% of the people with aftermarket wheels on here have;
1. The KMC Slides in any finish
2. The Boss 313 or 330 in any finish
3. The U2-55 wheels in chrome

BTW heating coils is a way of dropping a Civic with more random decals than horsepower so I hope that is not what he did to a GM SUV!

I as well have can vouch for everything said...I have all the pictures to prove it....

Clean95, thehoe92, and myself have done all the work to each others trucks....all 3 of us work together on all 3 of our trucks and yes...the only thing done to thehoe92s truck was the 3/5 drop, body drop, and that massive sub box in the back

I have a 3/5 drop, and a body drop done to my Denali and I sit 1 inch higher in the back since I dont have a huge box in the back...its as simple as that

yeah easy clean we've all done work on each others truck..

I didn't lie about anything, I've been straight up with you this whole time elliott

I've still got to load up that sub box with 6 15's, mount an amp and I still need 4 more 110 pound batteries

I said earlier back in this thread (doubt you'll find it.. off topic vultures in here haha!) we would all be the same like modded said if some things didn't set us apart

I knew I would be lower than a lot of you because I have all this weight to carry around

plus the springs are STILL settling I've noticed every day it get a little lower

I'm not bullshitting around I have the picture that says my fender is 30.5" I even tried getting a wider shot to show there are no jack stands or jacks or anything to modify it in my favor

so calm down I'm not arrogant/cocky I am the FIRST person to help ANYONE out on this forum

if only you guys could check my PM's you'd see how many people I've answered questions
check out the interior section, suede interior...

but I do agree with modded.. I think you guys need to lay under your tahoe for a while do some searching around start wrenchin, do some mods, experiment (to a degree, still needs to be driveable right) and learn some stuff on your own, otherwise all our SUV's would look the same

just read some posts from whiteout, his main goal with his tahoe (sorry if its not a tahoe) is to be completely different from everyone, do something that no one has done yet.. sets him apart

like when blizzard figured out how to get his back windows to roll down all the way :hands:

but seriously set some trends.. be a leader.. do something new and I guarantee you will have a good portion of the forum asking you how to do it :imo:

Eloquently siad right here!
When I start customizing, I got Max and JKMotorsports to answer a few questions here and there, they even still do along with some others on here from all section but the Pre-99 area. But nothing is like going down and doing stuff on your own.

Back to the real topic at hand, haha I bet your Belltech springs will sag at this point TheHoe92, having a constant 600lbs on the rear will most likely sag those Belltechs to the "oversettling" point. Might want to throw some DJMs in there, they will stand up better, and with that much load actually ride about the same.
I have noticed my DJMs seem to suck alot more when there is low fuel (1/2 tank or less) or a low load.

exactly!!
get some inspiration then put your own twist on it and you got yourself something that is unique that barely anyone will have

whats funny is for the hell of it I flipped the springs over since they are progressive rate so its all compressed on the bottom and looks like I'm carrying a big load (which I am)

but yeah I want to get some QA1's just to mess around with but the DJM's should be on there way pretty soon along with some real drop shocks not cleans front shocks even though they do ride SOOOOO much better then just springs

I know there is some ride quality still left to squeeze out of this thing

I feel you on the Unique twist, why I have always liked your purple lip, they match my DRLs. :D
Hmm, I always wondered if flipping progressive coils makes a ride quality/height difference, may put my 5305s in with the closely wound side on the bottom too.

Don't get QA1s, can bet they will ride like straight ********!

yeah I bet it would ride like shit if my frame was touching my axle HAHA!

I was just curious so I did it, I didn't really notice any difference in height or ride quality which is to be expected from a spring lol

oh and just wondering what this is supposed to mean?
That he shouldn't expect a detailed materials, engineering, and stress analysis of why something does what it does. You've not got 20 years of experience under your belt to explain it either.

The fact that you pick up a wrench instead of a key board or a game controller is good enough, ain't it?

I was meant as a praise, not a disparagement.
