So I have 20" (measured my rims and they are 21.5" DIA?) ALUMINUM WHEELS WITH CARBON GREY METALLIC ACCENTS on my 2022 AT4 w/LT275/60R20 BF Goodrich Baja Champion tires. In looking on FB Marketplace....what are my conditions to look for? Would like to go upto 22" or even 24" but not looking at doing any type of lift this moment or swapping out tires (is this possible or need to stick with same rim size so not needing to change out tires). Talk to me about what to look for; size and bolt pattern as I am NOT a rim/tire guy.

Much thanks

Edit:

Examples of what im looking for:

For starters if changing the tires is a non-option and you have tires for 20” rims then you will not be able to size up to 22 or 24 inch rims, you’ll have to stick with 20’s.

You will absolutely need to get different tires, but you could probably re-sell the stock wheels/ tires afterwards to get some money back.

Depending on where you live in the country (because shipping costs are insane) I might be interested in your stock wheels for my wife’s Tahoe.

Not sure what your overall objective is here. Do you want larger diameter rims to fill out the wheel well gap? Some other reason?

I would stick with what you got. You have 20" wheels. Your 21.5 is the outer face, not the diameter of the tire bead. For every 2 inch larger you go, the chittier the ride you get. I have 22 inch wheels and will be selling them this winter and sticking with 18 inch GM accessory wheels........the ride sucks! I have 20's on my 2nd Denali and find it to be a happy medium for ride and tire quality / price.

Goal is just something black to get rid of the Aluminum look.

I always keep my stock items. Tires are gone, didnt keep them when I got these tires.

Thank you sir. I'll get on the hunt for 20" snowflake or similar style.

IF I went a tire/rim setup for 22", do most folks lift then...maybe 2" or not until 24"? I guess it might depend on how wide they are since turning is a factor.

Depends on the tire not the wheel. A lot of these come with 22 inch wheels from the factory ( our Tahoe high country did).

Your AT4 is more off-road inspired, more tire sidewall has certain benefits off-road, so the Tahoe Z71 and Yukon AT4 get 20 inch wheels factory as a result.

Wheel offset, tire diameter, and tire width can have more affect on clearance than wheel diameter. Change factory wheels from +28 to +1 offset and they rub. If you find a stock (or equal) GM 22" tire wheel setup then they shouldn't have any issue.

Unless you're set on going to 24"s, then I'd be inclined to stick with OEM wheels if you're looking for black 22"s. That'll take all of the guesswork out of it.

...And ride comfort is always going to be a matter of taste. If the ride on these 22"s was terrible, no one would buy them, and they wouldn't be an option anymore. There's enough sidewall on the OEM 22"s that I find the ride to be really good -- and I think they definitely look better than the 20"s, too.

I changed to 20s for winter to keep the 22" rims from getting destroyed plus tire price and availability is a lot better.. you definitely notice the nicer ride quality but they do look small.

I would like to respectfully disagree with you on the worsening of the ride quality as you increase your rim diameter. That depends on a number of factors, including suspension quality, the quality of the tire rubber, and how well public roads are maintained. I have a cranky wife and 3 teen/adult daughters and I drive on 24's with a 35 inch tire and 3 inch lift, living in SoCal. Not once have they ever complained about the ride quality when we drive, because of the aforementioned factors. Dirt roads and sand dunes are one thing, but if it's not a part of your daily drive, there's nothing to worry about... Not even potholes.
