Tail lights

I have a 2013 gmc yukon denali, i have the stock chevy tahoe tail lights on it,i am trying to get the upper and lower lights to be turn signal and brake lights, has any one done this? I found a guy on you tube that used curt trailer adapters that he rewired per both sides to function the way i want! Have tried to contact him for wiring diagram but no replies. Does anyone know how to do it with factory lights?

I was interested in doing the same and saw that video too. I haven't tried his route as it seemed too involved.

The Avalanche and Sierra tails from those years operate like this from the factory. I'm guessing if you get your hands on a harness from one of them you could make it work. They're probably even plug and play. If you do let us know!
