Tail light reverse wiring

Hey guys

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm in the process of putting a reverse camera in, and have my wiring for my camera ran to my tail light and tapped into the reverse light. I'm assuming the green wire is the positive and black is the negative, is this correct?

Pretty sure I have a defective unit but want to make sure before I email the seller.

Yes you are correct about the wires. One thing to check, I don't know what headunit your running but, on mine I had to go into settings and turn on the reverse camera.

Yeah, I'm testing it on the TV in my garage, figured I'd do that before I ran it up front.... Glad I did, but that sucks.....
