A Tahoe hybrid was next to me the other day on the road and I noticed the tail lights are different from a standard one. I have a new-to-me 2007 Suburban LTZ and would like to know if these are a direct swap? Do I need the body colored piece above the tail light? I've searched through the Escalade taillight threads but haven't come across a mention of the Hybrid ones. Anyone done this, have photos or a link?

Yes you will need to confirm the pin out via mutimeter it's the same number of pins (5)

yeah you will need to replace the upper part to get the look right

the piece above the tail light will have to be changed out

D-pillar moldings help reduce the drag coefficient from 0.36 to 0.34 as well

so you could get upto 1MPG! extra

they are more square looking

it's quite interesting because the rear end looks more like the 2015 then the 2007-14..

Thanks BG1988! Looks like a project down the road after more important things. I can't imagine the drag coefficient being reduce that much from just that...amazing if true!
